Crumby love derived from a family recipe that Lisa began making many years ago. After many batches of cakes, and something quite by accident, she figured out a way to make it even better. Now the original recipe, tweaked and amped up presents the best looking, best tasting crumb cake you will ever experience.
After opening Big Daddy's Chicken in Palm Beach Gardens, FL and making the cake as a dessert, it began selling rapidly. "Everyone who tried it, really loved it...we knew we had something special.."
With holiday season we began selling half cakes, as well as whole and double size. Once the interest began to expand, I felt that I needed to get a website to better promote the cake and get it the attention it deserves! A lot of people were instrumental in the beginning..giving me feedback on everything from taste to how well it traveled across country. I could not have done it without them.
The ORIGINAL cake is moist, light butter cake topped with mounds of cinnamon crumbs, and finished off with thick ribbons of icing swirled on top. Be sure to have your coffee or glass of milk ready! This is not your ordinary wimpy crumb cake. The photos speak for themselves! |
